Jianshui purple pottery, also known as Zhennan Qiongyu, is a specialty of Jianshui County, Yunnan Province, and a product of China's National Geographical Indication.
Jianshui pottery clay is taken from the Wucai Mountains in the territory. It has a high iron content, which makes the finished product high in hardness and strength.
